Sandoval Treasurer’s Office Annual Toy Drive - November 25 through December 20, 2024 Donate new, unopened toys and make the holiday brighter for a local child. County treasurer’s office and La Puerta Realty office are drop-off locations. Wild Hearts Gallery - “Jewelry: A Medium of Symbolic Communication”, exhibiting artists Sandy Johnson and Geri Verble. December 3-29, 2024; artist reception December 14, 1-3 p.m. Placitas Artists Series - Concert and Art Exhibit, December 8, 2024. Erinys Quartet playing string quartets. Tickets on sale and available here. Come at 1:30 p.m. to hear a pre-concert talk, then view the art exhibit and artist reception at 2 p.m. Concert ticket not required for exhibit and reception. The Erinys Quartet concert begins at 3 p.m. Outpost Performance Space - Check their December schedule for a list of live performances! La Estrella Holiday Market - Sixteen artists will offer a great selection of art for your gift-giving needs. Each artist will donate a work to a raffle that will benefit Casa Rosa food bank. Come to shop and purchase raffle tickets. Donations of non-perishable food items will also be accepted. Chicky’s Coffee and Placitas Pizza Company will be there with tasty treats. Placitas Community Library - Join us on December 6th, 5-6:30 p.m. for a reception to honor Native Visions - Celebrating Native American Heritage Month. And come to the library open house on December 15th, 2-4 p.m. For your additional shopping pleasure, two additional holiday markets: December 7th, and Winter Solstice on December 21st. 505 Spirits - Visit local (Placitan-owned) distillery with a line of, “locally inspired liquers, vermouth, brandy and premium pre-mixed cocktails.
